Question + achievement

Hi guys i got a question: if there was some one from the sourthern hemisphere and some one from the nothern hemisphere what would happen if the person from the sourthern hemisphere drilled a hole all the way to the other side in the northern hemisphere and dropped a rock down (note this is if there was no gravity at the core) for the person who dropped it it would be going down but for the person on the other side it would be going up strange. I dont know the answer

I actually thought this, sadly before but the rock would melt and be gone for the speed it would be traveling and never make it to the other end.
