I think when someone says your name and you're muted it should say in chat Sorry (Name of person who is muted) Is muted! Like when you say lag or hack one of those messages.

It might create too much spam, I think it would be better if you pressed tab and in a certain color writing, before their name, it says [Muted].

Yeah, it seems like it wouldn't be necessary in normal chat. It would create spam. I think the msg idea or the tab idea would be better.

I wouldn't find it embarrassing. It would be more embarrassing to have everyone trying to talk to you and you not replying due to being muted. But yeah, you could make it able to be toggled.
