We should get an alert when someone follows you. So when someone follows you, an alert would appear just as you get when someone comments on your status.

Im not sure, maybe i turned it off in settings some how. Who knows lol.

You may need to check your alert settings. You should see an option at the bottom with this option.

You should see a notification like this when it is turned on.
