Can't Connect

It keeps saying can not connect to server. I refresh it many times but it still does not work. I have had the problem before. Any ideas on what to do? I am still in 1.8.9

The server is currently updating to 1.9, so no one can get in at the moment. I don't know when it will be back up, but it will probably be soon! (If you really want to, you can ask staff, they probably know.) =)

Open your Minecraft launcher
Click on Edit Profile
Switch to 1.8.9

Oh I wasn't on, I had not noticed that the server was updating. I thought you just needed help connecting if you had 1.9 to switch back to 1.8.9
