I would like to suggest a command that shows you the amount of time remaining in the current arena.

I don't see no need. I counts down for you and for me that's enough. And plus t will switch when it switches.

Sometimes I would like to know how long there is left so that I can wait for an arena I like, or so that I would know not to stay awake an extra 10 mins waiting for arena to change if it still has 20 mins left.

there is no command I know of that shows the arena time. I have tried /kb and seen nothing related to the time

there is no point in having a time limit command since its just fight to the death. Why worry about time when you need to be focused?

not for 1v1's, for the general arena switch. If I come to pvp, it only says "every 30 mins the arena switches". Lets say I don't like the current arena but I love the next one. I would like to know how much time is left in the current arena so that if I want I can go to parkour, but come back when the arena switches exactly
