Maybe to add variety? All the same seems a bit too similar/monotonous compared to already implemented events, just imo, even tho it is not a bad idea

Zainos does something similar to this, with /alert, currently he has been really busy and organizing a tournament with brackets and such would be hard work, but sounds like a nifty idea
