It's daily that I see people spamming or swearing, I tell them to stop, and what they say is "I didn't know".
Not knowing is not an excuse for why you did it and if you are advertising a different server IP, which is a permanent ban, you can not say you did not know about that rule.

For your own good, I think everyone should read the server rules here: RULES
And if you are on the server, you can use the /rules command

There is an anti-swear client on the server that warns them too, so idk how they didn't know...

They all do know that you can't swear or spam, their excuse is not knowing anything about it. While they do know the rules on the server, they just need an excuse so they can get out of getting in trouble.

It's not only profanity, it's spam and other stuff as well. Also, if you do like [removed] it works

Yeah that's what I mean. People will now see this post and also the alert thing in chat on the server that says read the server rules, they can't use this as an excuse anymore. And to be honest, not everyone reads the server rules, I've got questions in game like "where can I read the rules", so not everyone know them. Also, not knowing the server rules can't get them out of trouble. And not all servers have the rules you can't spam, like we. "noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo" still counts as spam and we don't have any anti-spam for that kind.

Yeah, there was one guy who was saying a server and everyone is telling him to stop, that it's against the rules... then eventually when someone threatens to report him he's like "SORRY I DIDN'T KNOW I'M ONLY 8" :/

YES. This is stupid - if I tell anyone to stop swearing and they don't so I kick them they'll come back like "why did you kick me I didn't know"

Saying "I didn't know the rules" is the oldest trick in the book, same as "I'm from Planet Minecraft, op me in order so I can review the server"

Maybe there should be a rule book in hub that is automatically given to you when you are in hub.

Ya I defiantly think there should be an anti spam too, I also tell people to stop or I will report them. It doesn't work and they keep on doing it. We should also have this thing that if u keep on spamming or swearing, the server will kick u automatically rather than a staff having to be on to kick or ban the person

thats why you gotta be liek "hye kid stop doing that or else I will get the authorities nd they will rekt you" it makes you seem like a pro reporter know what I mean, Jack
 
This 'person' said to me that 'nrrehdgwjd' isn't spam. I told them about 17000 times and they didn't listen.
