Idea: You should be able to put 2 slabs together to craft the original block used to create them. Easy enough.
Example: 2 wooden slabs in a crafting table/inventory makes a cobblestone block (used for crafting).

Lol. I think he meant wood planks.

But you can just place both of them on top of eachother to get the full block.
