There's a certain route you have to take, along with almost perfect timing which makes it difficult. Once you learn the route though, it's pretty easy. NOTE: Once you get hit once, it's pretty much game over unless you are in a place withers can't shoot you from.

I personally don't see why it needs to be removed, but that's probably because every time someone tries to block themselves in with it I just kill them before they do it or blow them up with tnt.
