Do U Get Ranks If U Help?

Hi People,
I just wanted to ask if u can get ranks by helping people; reporting bad things building maps?
Also what is a j.mod? Thats all my questions for now. Plz answer.

You only get Donator ranks from voting, donating, or winning special events.
You can get Helper/Builder by applying (or if a staff member notices you're really good and asks you)

I don't know if this is still valid but you can also get it this way if you have this.
