Why Some People Use Lava

I have seen some lava on buildings and Things in the creative server. Why is this Happening? Someone also came and greifed my best plot with lava 5 weeks ago. Please help!

Don't add anyone to your plot and it won't get greifed. Sadly some people are mean and greif plots :(
